INDO PACIFIC 2022 CONFIRMED FOR 10-12 MAY 2022

In May this year AMDA Foundation Limited announced that, due to the effects of the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic, the 2021 INDO PACIFIC International Maritime Exposition would be deferred from its original August 2021 dates to May 2022, with precise dates to be advised. Following extensive assessment and consultation, the new dates for INDO PACIFIC 2022 have now been determined.

INDO PACIFIC 2022 will be held from Tuesday May 10 to Thursday May 12 2022 at Sydney’s International Convention Centre (ICC).

Since the inaugural PACIFIC International Maritime Exposition in 2000, the 11 biennial PACIFIC events held to date have seen PACIFIC (now INDO PACIFIC) firmly established as an essential hub for topical discussion of issues affecting naval and commercial maritime strategy, industry and technology. INDO PACIFIC has become a key platform for engagement between naval defence and commercial maritime industries, government and defence leaders, researchers and academia from Australia, the Indo-Asia-Pacific region and around the world.

INDO PACIFIC 2022 will come at a critical time in Australia’s maritime history as our commercial shipping industry regenerates in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic and the Royal Australian Navy responds to dynamic regional issues. It will illustrate key elements of the unprecedented $75 billion investment in Australia’s maritime defence capabilities announced as part of the 2020 Force Structure Plan, including more than $50 billion in the regeneration and expansion of Australian Defence Force maritime platforms through the naval shipbuilding enterprise.

PACIFIC 2019 broke all records - with 657 participating exhibitor companies from 22 nations, 21,241 attendances and 182 industry, government, defence and scientific delegations, including 45 international naval delegations and 21 Chief of Navy counterparts from around the world. Coming at this critical time, INDO PACIFIC 2022 is expected to exceed even these results.

Like all responsible organisations, AMDA Foundation has monitored the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic from its inception and has rescheduled all major expositions.

Once the aftermath of the pandemic has been transitioned, it is intended that AMDA expositions will resume their normal biennial cycle, with INDO PACIFIC returning, after 2022, to regular timing in the latter half of odd-numbered years.

We look forward to INDO PACIFIC in 2022 – steering full-steam ahead on a course for renewed engagement and industry growth following the COVID pandemic storm. We will welcome you on board!
